Petosa's Family Grocer is proud to be the only independent, family owned and operated grocery store in Edmonds. Founded in 1986 by Tom and Betty Jo Petosa, the Petosa family has a long tradition of bringing quality, value and old-fashioned customer service to their customers.

Coming from a family of Italian Immigrants and fantastic cooks, hospitality has been something that all of the Petosa's embrace. Many went into the restaurant business where they could bring their cooking and entertaining skills to work. Tom Petosa chose instead, to follow in his brother Leo's footsteps and went into the grocery business. His first store was on 145th and Greenwood in Seattle, and in 1986 he and his wife purchased their second store on 5th avenue in Edmonds.



Many Petosa family members grew up working in the store including Tom and Betty Jo's children, grandchildren, countless nieces and nephews and many friends. That's what makes Petosa's so unique in today's chain store marketplace. The team that has made, and continues to make Petosa's the best place to shop is truly something you don't find everyday.
